Bridal feminist veil

This was such a special commission to make and embellish: a bridal cape designed to reflect the bride's feminist values and her tattoo, worn on her wedding day. The design was created inline with the pattern of the dress, and it was one of our first commissions where we were able to use tambour beading. The beads and sequins used were from the spares included with the dress, along with some closely matched extras we were able to source. Alongside the personal element of the tattoo, what made this piece extra special was a collaboration with the mother of the bride, who embellished the heavier floral shoulder detail used to attach the cape to the dress. We were later told by the bride that the cape had become "one of the most treasured possessions" she owns, a sentiment that means the world to us.
