CELESTIAL PIANO STOOL

This vintage piano stool was given a new lease of life through bespoke gold and silver embellishment worked onto vintage black velvet, inherited from late Auntie June who loved to sew. Inspired by timeless designs by the likes of Chanel and Schiaparelli, this design encompasses the sun, moon and stars, along with personal details such as family initials and their accompanying sun sign constellations embedded into the piece. A mix of tambour beading, leather appliqué and hand embellishment gives a rich, varied texture while the stool remains fully functional, another key consideration in the design. The stool was reworked as a modern heirloom for two young brothers learning to play piano and was delivered in time for Christmas in their new family home.
